Normally, I do my own repairs on my vehicle but a combination of time and tools on hand made me look for a garage to do some diagnostic and repair work on my 2001 Mustang. The entire process from requesting a quote to dropping off my car for diagnosis and repair was very smooth, and Erik was very helpful in breaking down the expected cost of the repair I anticipated needing (intake manifold gasket replacement). In the end, it turned out my car needed an exhaust manifold gasket replacement and I was given an estimate with a precise cost for parts and a ~$150 range for what labor would cost (reasonable given a 25 year old car with potential for studs breaking or encountering rust and brittle components can take more or less time to fix depending on the number of issues encountered). The work they did was great and ended up being almost exactly in the middle of the range I was quoted. They were accommodating with pick up, since I wasn't able to make it to the shop before they closed at 5 pm, I was able to arrange for my keys to be left in a lockbox for pickup later. The only issue I encountered was the repair took longer than expected. Between the diagnosis and repair, my car was in the shop for three full days. Based on the original request for quote when I indicated I thought it was an intake manifold gasket repair, I was told a one to two day turn around. After the diagnosis on the first day, I was told my vehicle would be ready by end of day the next day. I hadn't heard from them by 4:00pm the second day so I called and they said their parts order hadn't been delivered in a timely manner that day and it would be another day. On the third day, I hadn't heard from them by 4:00pm so I contacted them and they had just completed the test drive and told me my car was ready for pick up. The parts delay is not their fault; however, I would have appreciated more proactive communication on their part when they knew my car wouldn't be ready on the second day rather than me calling them an hour before the shop closed wondering why I hadn't heard from them yet. Overall had a great experience with Campus Garage and would trust them to do diagnosis or work on my car in the future.
